How You Can Help

Family Care strives always to ensure that maximum funds go to direct assistance with the minimum administrative and support costs.

Family Care is a locally registered Non Governmental Organisation whose work has been commended both by the Government of Armenia as well as Armenian based Donors. Family Care does not claim indirect costs on its budgets which means its operations run purely on grants from donors with no additional overhead costs. All work done to build Family Care capacity is currently done without charge to projects.

Non Financial Contributions

Family Care would welcome anyone who felt they would like to contribute their time or skills to the organization either from their home country or in being involved in one of the projects. This is particularly important for the Art School in Spitak where school leavers, teachers or art professionals could support activities. Anyone who has contributed to the projects will be welcomed in Armenia if you are interested to visit.

What you can help with:

Capacity building / publicity

• If you have skills in writing or design you may help support Family Care with publicity , news letters or even in the production of specific materials to be used in our assistance programmes. You could also help us keep in touch personally with those who support us.
• Help organise small fund raising events for the organisation or promote Family Care as a sponsored organisation in Charity events.
• Help Family Care to sell its greetings cards and gifts.
• Please contact us if you have a venue where Family Care could hold an exhibition and do a promotion day.
• You may help us if you can work by e mail and are able to translate documents into Armenian, Russian or Italian from English or vice versa.

Health Projects:

• If you are a health professional either working in public health, health promotion or in any hospital specialty and you have an interest to work with us on a short term basis, please send us your CV and a letter of interest by e-mail.
• If you cannot travel abroad but would like to be involved in the development/design or research on health materials please contact us.
• If you have knowledge of used hospital equipment or demonstration equipment which could be donated to us.
• If you know of a hospital or health unit which is interested to host short term health professionals from abroad.
• You may want to make a financial contribution for a specific issue.

Cultural
We are in great need of voluntary assistance for the Veratsnund art school. If you have skills in teaching art or design, small business or marketing we would be happy to hear from you.
